1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Mary Geoise LLC, trading as KOVA ("we", "us", "our"), collects and uses your personal data when you visit mykova.co.uk or buy from us. 2. What we collect

  • Order information: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, and order details. Payment is processed by our payment providers and we do not receive your full card details.
  • Account and communication information: anything you send us by email or through our contact form, and your account details if you create one.
  • Device and browsing information: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, how you arrived at the Site and how you interact with it, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have subscribed to our emails.

3. How we use it

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the Site secure.
  • To meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records.
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
  • To send you marketing emails and show you relevant advertising, where you have agreed to this.

UK customers: we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR: performance of our contract with you (orders), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention and security), legal obligation (tax and accounting), and your consent (analytics, advertising cookies and marketing emails). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the Site work, for example to keep your basket. We also use analytics and advertising cookies, such as those from Google and Meta. Where required by law, including for UK visitors, we only set these with your consent. You can change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only where needed with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store;
  • payment providers, which process your payments;
  • fulfilment and delivery partners, which pack and deliver your orders;
  • analytics and advertising providers, such as Google and Meta;
  • email service providers, which send our emails;
  • authorities or professional advisers, where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data for money.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and some of our service providers are located in other countries outside the UK. When personal data of UK customers is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the UK Information Commissioner.

7. How long we keep it

We keep order records for up to 6 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for.

8. Your rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.

UK customers: you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to ask for it to be transferred, and to withdraw your consent at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), although we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

US customers: depending on your state of residence, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Some advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain state laws. You can opt out through our cookie settings, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals where required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
